The urge

I need to travel. For extended periods of time. For the past two years, I’ve been trying to suppress the urge and just be happy living a comfortable life in Raleigh. It’s not working. I need flexibility and plenty of time away from home in order to appreciate home.
Don’t get me wrong. I like living in Raleigh, and I love living in NC. The people are great! The beach is 2 hours away, the mountains 3, there’s enough culture to not go crazy. North Carolina is a great place to live.
But I get bored easily and I feel restless.
My once a year, ten day vacation jaunts are not enough sustain me. I need to explore the world at leisure. Learn, see and do new things. Meet interesting people, challenge myself. Learn more about what I love, what I hate, what I can tolerate. Test my endurance, strength, boundaries, beliefs. I want to experience the NEW.
My plan:
To come up with a plan.
